82% of Webmasters get Link acqusition wrong

by on February 24, 2009

I just read an interesting post by someone promoting Jon Leger’s 3wayslinks.net program

He/she mentions that many webmasters are choosing the wrong keywords for their on-page SEO and for the anchor text for their backlinks.

That’s part of what I am going to get across to you in my newsletter on how to increase website traffic.

  • Stop going after massive volumes of untargeted traffic that don’t convert well.
  • Go after the terms that are “money terms”, the ones that convert best.

You can read the post here on what your niche money keywords are

I was interested to know that most webmasters don’t know how to use most of these services. I used one called Smart Traffic for Free. They took care of everything and all I had to do was to allow them to use my site as a link partner. My site lottosmarterwaytoplay.com is 2nd only to The National Lottery in Google for the keyphrase lotto syndicates which was one of the keyphrases they targetted for me. email my account manager and mention me at: paul.zelen@net-worx.co.uk and he’ll get your site ranked. My site was on page 27 of Google prior to them getting to work.

Hey Scott, thanks for stopping by. This is something I wish I knew a long time ago, but something even Google Keyword Tool (CPC data for kws) and SpyFu ( # of advertisers for certain KWs) can give you more details on.

Live and learn!

Dan
